CARIBBEAN FLAVORS HISTORY

Caribbean Flavors was established by Leroy Walwyn Sr, a native of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. He moved to the U.S. in 1993 with a goal in mind, which was to open up a Caribbean restaurant, catering Virgin Islands style and portraying its culture.

Leroy opened the first Caribbean Flavors restaurant/night club inAlabama in the latter year of 1993.  It was very successful and it paved the way to open up his second location in North Carolina.  He traveled between the two locations for approximately two years. Leroy later decided to open up his 3rd spot in Atlanta, GA in 1995. Since then, he has resided with his loving wife and two wonderful children. Due to family oligations, he chose to take a break from the day to day operations of running a restaurant and veered towards catering events for family and friends.Over the years, it was obvious that Leroy Walwyn Jr. was going to follow in his footsteps. “Like father like son.Leroy Jr. graduated from high school in 2005 and pursued a degree in Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu, where he obtained his degree in 2007. This father and son dynamic duo has joined forces and have been sought out by many to cater events.  In 2008 during Memorial Day weekend, while catering at a Caribbean event, they were requested by popular demand to bring Caribbean Flavors back.  The food was tasty, the presentation was a sight  to see, and the customers were definitely satisfied as should be.  All would like the spice and flavor of Caribbean Flavors to be brought back to Atlanta, so everyone can enjoy the taste of the Caribbean without having to travel overseas.
